Hotmail breached?

Came back from school after a tough day, powered up the pc and checked my emails. There was an email called 'Zuntyh jhb'. The sender was 'my' email address and was sent to one of my friends. I checked my 'sent' folder. Nothing. I had 3 deleted emails. All of them were a message from my email address to a group of people in my contact list. Must have done it to all of them within the 3 due to being in alphabetical order. I asked one of my friends in the 'sent to' part and he didn't get one. He checked his emails and had an email in the deleted section similar to mine. It seemed to have been advertising some electronic company.

Great, viral messages being sent to my contacts I thought. I changed my password / security question. But then I just had to check my other, important email address. There was nothing in the inbox. I checked the deleted folder and there were 3 unopened amazon order confirmation emails which I did not delete myself. So only my unopened emails were still there ( in deleted ), everything else gone. I changed password / security question. I went onto my google mail account which imports my emails from my hotmail one, all the emails were still there luckily.

I unplugged the PC from the internet and ran a spybot scan. 1000+ tracking cookies found. I scanned through them to find that it had websites that I would have been on roughly 1 - 2 weeks ago. I deleted them and ran an ad aware scan, nothing. Started a boot scan on avast now.

Does anyone know about what this is? Also what should I do.

Thanks
