Netsky and Mydoom viruses found
I'm new to this forum, and I'm not sure I'm posting in the correct area, so let me know if I need to put this question somewhere else.
My Norton 2005 (updates current) found 2 files infected with Netsky, and 4 files infected with Mydoom. Norton could not repair, quarantine, or delete the files. Manual removal failed. I downloaded the removal tools from Norton's website, ran them, and they said nothing was found. However, when I re-ran a full system scan, the same files were found. They were in Juno files, my ISP. I uninstalled Juno, now the files are in the recycle bin. My computer doesn't seem to be affected. Can I just empty the recycle bin and forget about it? OS is XP. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you, Hollybell |
