I use Windows 98SE with Internet Explorer 6 and for 2 weeks now whenever I try to log in to secure login such as banks etc I get an Expired or Invalid Security Certicate warning. I,ve checked all software and all else but can't stop these warnings. I can't even login to my bank at all now. I ALSO get these warnings at other non secure web sites. What can I do about it?

Re: security certificate warnings
I would upgrade to a more modern browser. Internet Explorer 6 is very old and not very secure for online banking.
There have been news reports over the last few weeks that web developers are trying to get IE6 banned and have stopped offering support for it. Check with your bank to see if they still support the use of IE6. Can you log into your bank and other secure sites using Chrome, Safari, Opera or Firefox?

Re: security certificate warnings
well as for IE6, it's about the top of the line for Windows 98SE, the others are for XP, Vista etc. Tried downloading Firefox but it starts at Windows XP but not Windows 98SE.
thanks for the reply though. |

I've never tried them. I assume they are web browsers. Where do I find them? I'll sure try them. |
