tr/crypt.zpack.gen
Hope you guys can help me. I have Avira Antivirus running on Windows XP and a few days ago, I started getting constant pop-ups from Avira stating it found the tr/crypt.zpack.gen virus and wants me to decide whether to delete, quarantene, etc.. This pops up every 2-3 seconds. I can't boot in safe mode (get the blue screen of death) and am wondering if my only option is to reformat?
Thanks for any advice you can give....I am not real handy with a computer. |

Re: tr/crypt.zpack.gen
Hello, and welcome to the forum.
As stated at the top of the page... This forum is not for malware removal assistance. For malware removal assistance, read the sticky topic at the top of the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum, or the "First Steps" link at the top right of each page. A format is an option, but it might not be your only option. We won't know without looking at some logs, which we don't analyze in this section of the forums. Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, please post the requested logs in the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum, not here. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply. To avoid logs being posted in the wrong section of the forum, this topic will be closed.
