Re: BitDefender Total Security 2009 problem

Hello and welcome to TSF

You are running Windows 7, Bitdefender(Softwin) at this time is not compatible with Windows 7. I doubt if you`ll recieve any support at this time from Softwin.

When running a beta, you are going to expect these types of problems, i am running windows 7 inside virtualbox and have installed Avira with no problems.

Re: BitDefender Total Security 2009 problem

It could be it, i thought that something was wrong with my program setup. Previously i had AVG, but in my opinion bitdefender is much better because it finds lot more viruses. Too bad that it's not working correctly with my windows 7.

Re: BitDefender Total Security 2009 problem

I installed Avira and I don't have any problems so far. It seems faster than bitdefender, and I hope it will find all the viruses like the bitdefender did. Thanks

Re: [SOLVED] BitDefender Total Security 2009 problem

One other thing you can try regarding Bitdefender, right click on the Bitdefender installer file and select properties>Compatibility Mode tab> you can choose Vista, Vista(sp1) or Vista(sp2). It may or may not work.

Make sure you uninstall Avira first, before trying to install Bitdefender.

Visit our Vista/Windows 7 forum should you have anymore problems.
