Possible trojan horse?
Hello,
I'm using Norton Anti-Virus and this security alert keeps popping up: A computer with the IP address 78.107.232.240 attempted to connect to your computer using Default Block TransScout. It's the same alert each time. I looked the ip address up on whois and googled the company attached to it. Supposedly, it's a Russian ip address and connected to a lot of email scams. What should I do? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Possible trojan horse?
I think you should try changing your antivirus protection! Try BitDefender! Is better and if there's a problem he will solve it! You can use the trial version too to resolve the problem that you have, but don't forget to uninstall norton before you install BitDefender!
Trust me I'm using it and it has a very high efficiency against known and unknown malware! |

Re: Possible trojan horse?
I'd change your anti-virus software if I were you. Even to a free one like Avira. Also I suggest that you check running processes on Fileinspect, just to be on the safe side and find out more about nasties like trojans.

Re: Possible trojan horse?
Norton is just doing its job, blocking traffic is all. It is like a caller ID, it letting you know who is calling. It does mean you have to answer it.
Unless you know you are having problems, I would not be concerned about it. BG |
