Google desktop question

HI, is this safe to unistall? i dont need this for my system to stay running well do i?

What happens is that when i go to certain pages the page freezes and my mouse makes a constant clicking noise like there is a conflict and i cant do anything else and have to ctrl alt del to end program.

After about the zillionth time i finally opened up my antivirus and saw that there was this:

blocked:

C:/program files/google/google desktop search/google desktop exe l key logger l

i would like to uninstall the program but just dont know if it would affect other system operations.

When i tried to uninstall i got this pop up:

You are attempting to uninstall Google Desktop that was installeed by WIN-************ Administrator. Proceed with removal?

Just confused here. Any help would be appreciated.
