Exclamation Is it too much?

I have the following

ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 (Real time file system protection ON)
Pc Tools Firewall Plus (Free Edition)
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (Real time protection ON)
SnoopFree Privacy Shield
Spyware Guard

Re: Is it too much?

It would depend on your computer specs. (what hardware you got) as long as your computer is not running super slow and/or eating up a lot of your RAM space (do to all the real-time scanners running in the background).
And if your having any problems from either of the listed programs, having issues with one another (like causing false positives). Other than that I really don't think there is a problem.

PS. Some people are happy and comfortable with one lock on there house door...
while others will have two, three or more locks to make them feel better...

Re: Is it too much?

Well, I have Pentium 4 3.06GHz and only have 512MB of RAM at the moment but I'm planning to upgrade the RAM real soon.

About the false positives, well... the scan results are always clean so I don't think so.

The only slow down I experience is due to PC Tools Firewall Plus. I noticed some slow down at startup but that's pretty much it.

IMO it is too much...you really only need two antispyware - one for a second opinion. In addition, you should have have one real time protection running at a time.
