AVG gets stuck
Hi everyone :)
I have AVG 8.5 installed on my machine (core2duo 2.2GHz,2GB memory, 8600GT card,on-board sound,17" AOC monitor, running Win XP). Well, AVG cannot finish a full system scan even after 5 hours of scanning. Today I have kinda noticed that AVG seems to be stuck at : D:\System Volume Information\_restore{DFB0304A-C7EE-...}\RP0\ AVG also shows "currently scanning : File system" I have system restore disabled on all drives so why is it showing the above entry? My disks arent fully loaded-up: c:\ 7.07GB out of 21.9 GB d:\ 967 MB out of 27.0 GB e:\ 4.88 GB out of 23.8 GB f:\8.49 GB out of 19.2 GB G:\ 5.49 GB out of 30. GB Honestly, AVG should finish scanning in a reasonable amount of time should it not?I mean the disk have only got filled up to less than half in all the drives. Hoping that someone here can shed some light on this matter. (By the way if I have posted in the wrong forum, please do move it to the appropriate section) Last edited by corsair; 06-13-2009 at 09:22 AM. |
