Vsmon.exe deleted by malware sweep?
I ran a malware scan (using Malwarebytes) and it cleared up several of the problems I was having (one in particular). Unfortunately it seems to have highlighted one infected file that may not have been, and that's my vsmon.exe. When I restarted my computer, I now get repeated RUNDLL messages popping up with the message:
Error loading vsmon.exe The specified module could not be found. I've reinstalled my ZoneAlarm to be on the safe side, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Any idea how I can stop these messages? |

Re: Vsmon.exe deleted by malware sweep?
Are you saying mbam deleted ZA's vsmon.exe ? Do you have the scan log which shows that?
You may wish to post at malwarebytes' support forum, if in fact a legit file has been deleted. It's possible the machine is still infected, in which case, you would need to follow the instructions here: Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, please post the requested logs in the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum, not here. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply.
