Last night while I was surfing the Internet on Firefox, I was suddenly booted off for no apparent reason. When I tried to reconnect, it didn't start and I received a "Click OK to terminate this operation" error. When I tried using Internet Explorer, it did load, but it immediately booted me off when I tried to go to Google.
Naturally, I restarted my computer, and when I did, I noticed that it was taking twice as long to start up. When I finally got to my desktop, my screen kept freezing and unfreezing, leading me to believe that I was infected with some form of malware. I ran Avira's full system scan to find the problem, and when it was finished, I was greeted with about 26 individual trojans. Figuring that they were causing the problems, I fixed them. Unfortunately, that didn't do anything. After uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox it works, but it's incredibly buggy and keeps freezing and unfreezing. I'm still using the first window I opened because I'm worried that it won't let me back in if I close the window. Please help! |

Re: Internet browsers not working + other problems
Well if you found 26 Trojans i would say that is the problem. Looks like it is time to clean the system again.

Well, I did get rid of those trojans, and now computer startup is okay, but my internet is still buggy, and I found out that it won't let me run Ultimate Defrag without causing it to crash. |

Re: Internet browsers not working + other problems
You could be getting infected because you might still have malware on the system even after you cleaned it. Have you tried the malware removal section here at this forum. They are very through.
