[SOLVED] Anti virus problem

I have a AVG free edition, and the problem that i have is this program that i want to run but my anti virus kept detecting it as a virus. What can i do to make the anti virus stop detecting this program as a virus?

Hopefully, you're using AVG 8.5 FREE and NOT an earlier version.

Double click the AVG icon in your system tray, then click "Tools" in the upper tool bar.
From the Tools drop down menu select "Advanced Settings....."

Click on PUP Exceptions.
Then click on Add Exceptions
and fill in the name of the file you want AVG to ignore.
You'll need the path and exact name of the file (program).
My own exception list is about 20 items long. lol

You can also find answers to AVG questions by going to the AVG forums.
I'm certainly NOT an AVG expert.....just another user.
