How do i uninstall panda internet security 2009 ?

I am hoping you can help me with this issue as I am at the wits end/hair pulling out stage. My friend has asked me to take a look at his system. Windows XP and he has performed a system restore which has caused a panda internet security 2009 error and now part of the program has deleted and another part is still on the system as I get error messages continuously when the pc boots telling me VCL150.bpl is missing so the panda can not run. I try to uninstall it all known ways normally , safe mode, msconfig and nothing will uninstall it saying access denied write protected. I hope you can help me out with this and my friends pc is unworkable now and all i want to do is uninstall this panda 2009. It is not the full version as it was off a free cd from some magazine ( nightmare i know !! ) which was installed about a year ago.

Cheers :)

Hi mate ,

Cheers for the suggestion. I have this uninstallation tool sent straight from Panda today but i have my reservations in this actually working. I hope it does. I'll report back how it went tomorrow.

Hey Bob,

Nice one mate ! That actually worked the uninstallation tool ! a lot simpler than thought ! Still havin the issues in not being able to access certain social networkings sites but i'm putting that to to 146 infections spydocter found. Now a error with a pop up to ads.agadoo.exe which is the trojan that seems to be causing this browsing problem.

Re: How do i uninstall panda internet security 2009 ?

Hi Griffskiii -

Glad that worked out for you.

If you now have no antivirus, install one immediately, update it and run a full system scan.

Here are a few very good free Antivirus products which are available:Select one of these, or another of your choice. Do not install more than one antivirus program because they will conflict with each other. It is imperative that you update your antivirus software at least once a week (even more if you wish). If you do not update your antivirus software then it will not be able to catch new malware that may have come out.

For any malware removal assistance....

Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here:

NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help

After running through all the steps, you shall have a proper set of logs.

Please post the requested logs in the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum, not here.

If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply.

Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply.
