file removal

Bought norton 2009 and its telling to remove file NPF 7.0-9.0. It then takes me to Add/Remove Programs but the that file is not there.
Does anyone know what it is that I'm not doing right.

Did you formerly have Norman Personal Firewall or a rebranded, ISP-provided firewall which used Norman?

Have you contacted Norton support? It is after all a paid product with customer support.

Its a ISP firewall which used Norton. I did chech Norton support and it tell me the same Add/Remove program procedure.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds to run the tool.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
1. DDS.txt
2. Attach.txt
Save both reports to your desktop.

Contents of the DDS.txt posted as text in your reply
Attach the Attach.txt to your post by clicking the Manage Attachments button under Additonal Options>Attach Files on the composition page. Browse to where you saved the file, and click Upload.
