Registry Cleaners

Just discovered registry cleaning. Doing some research I found my McAfee Security Center has a registry cleaner included. Is it necessary to purchase one if I already have this?

Re: Registry Cleaners

Hello, and welcome to TSF.

We do not recommend the use of registry cleaners.

Our colleague miekiemoes has an excellent writeup here

Another excellent article by Bill Castner is located here.

Re: Registry Cleaners

That was what I was initially suggesting, and yes it is a registry cleaner. It also performs other useful functions as well too. I personally have had no problems with CCleaner and I've been using it for 4-5 years.
