What do you recomend some does when they first spot that "Anti Virus 2009" pop up on their computer. Shut down the internet immediately? Turn the computer off immediately? Or once you see it is it to late to do anything but start up malware bytes etc? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: looking for your advice
Hi
The fact that the pop up happens likely means at least one file is present on the system, either delivering the pop up itself or acting as a link to the pop up. Once you click on the pop up you'll then get even more rubbish dumped on your system. It's never too late for Malwarebytes Anti Malware - nothing will happen to a clean system if you run a scan. If you do see such a pop up, I would run MBAM and an AV scan immediately. MBAM is very effective at removing these rogues.

Re: looking for your advice
Close out your browser, don't click on anything with in the pop-up. If it's to late and it has already been installed. This piece of junk malware can and is extremely difficult to remove, I've had to do a zero fill on the hard drive, then reinstall windows.
