Big problem,i think it's a virus
In the past 5 days i have formatted my hdd 6 times, tried 3 distinct versions of windows xp and each time i have the same problem. After formating and installing windows it works just fine for about a day, after that the internet stops working, and an "windows explorer encountered a problem and needs to close" error pops up when i start the computer.I don't know if it's a virus or just a windows issue.I also noticed in the task manager that a new process is being displayed after these problems start (wmwareservice.exe),but i didn't install anything.I hope somebody knows how to deal with this because i'm going crazy.Sorry about the bad english i'm romanian :)

Re: Big problem,i think it's a virus
Here is what google came up with for wmwareservice.exe
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c...xe&btnG=Search I would zero fill your harddrive using dban, it can be found on Ultimate Boot CD http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ or from here, http://www.dban.org/ Are you doing a fresh install of windows, or are you using a recent back-up. If it is from a backup you might be installing the infected program from there. |
