Re: Script blocking
Thanks. That is where I am trying to start to get help with the virus, but I can't get the DDS.CR program to work properly. I assume because of the script blocking. Very computer illiterate it seems.

script blocking
I have a virus and I am trying to do the "First Steps" so I can get help to remove it. One of the steps is to disable script blocking. I have disabled script blocking in Shield Deluxe and it is disabled in IE. The problem is the DDS.CR program that I am trying to run keeps coming up in notepad. It has a note that I need to run it in System 32. Totally lost on what I need to do. Any help would be appreciated.

See if this file works for you
http://www.techsupportforum.com/atta...-steps-dds.zip If it does not, use this tool instead, and post that information in a new topic in the removal section. Let them know you've not been able to use DDS, and refer back to this topic.
