Slow PC

Hi

Lately my PC is sluggish. I have done a thorough clean up and it's still slow. I use XP SP3, have 1.5gb memory. Also my AV program McAfee keeps popping up now and again warning me that it has blocked a Buffer Overflow???
What's that then??

Hi

A Buffer Overflow is to do with programmes using more memory than they have been allocated - this can cause crashes and can be exploited by hackers. Difficult to say what McAfee is blocking without more information.

One possibility is an infection of some kind. Any other symptoms other than just a slow PC?
