random boing sound

I found this thread from searching on google.

[SOLVED] Random Sound virus?

It is exactly what I thought was wrong with my computer. A "boing" sound plays at random intervals all day long. From the tread above they referenced two files in which i have neither. This is very frustrating and any help would be appreciated.

**Update ** It just played the first few seconds of what i think is a linkin park song.
