Virus Cleaning assistance pls

I have a PC running Win XP SP3 and during last week (THU-FRI) I downloaded a file that has attached some trojan downloaders. After the download was completed, I noticed the PC not responding as usual.

So I run Avast software and it detected around 6 or 8 trojans and Win32 viruses. I deleted those files with Avast, but since then my internet is very slow. Then I run Spybot but only a cookie was found.

I have ADSL 2+ and now working at dial up speed, when I am lucky. If not, Internet Explorer hungs forever, and no webpage is loaded.

I uninstalled IE and reinstalled it, but no changes in behaviour.

It seems to me that a virus is somewhere playing with my PC.

I also run Avast at a boot time twice to have access to more files when Windows was loading, no improvement.

Is there anyone that can assist me how to clean my PC?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Carlos
