false positive?
i downloaded a collection of ebooks on hacking as i'm looking to go into networking and network security as a career and one of the better ways to defeat hackers is to understand how they will attack in the first place i had not gotten around to reading it yet and my latest virus scan revealed that one of the files was infected but being aware of the possibility of false positives (i've had more than a few in the past) i uploaded the file to virus total http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/e...6128f7199c4096 and it shows that my virus scanner is the only one that would have flagged this file
AV scanner: AVG free 8.0.176 (up to date as of 12/30/08 ) OS: windows XP SP3 |
