Just wondering

I just did a scan with AVG AS and it returned a couple of 'high-risk' results.

However, I checked the file location and they seem to be apart programs which I have voluntarily installed and used quite a bit, including a couple of commercial games.

They are:

Trojan.Gologger.d
Trojan.Proxcrak.a
Trojan.Renos.dws
Trojan.Lmir.ayr
downloader.agent.a
downloader.agent.kok
downloader.zlob.kpb

So, am I actually infected or is AVG being inaccurate?

Re: Just wondering

Hi there

I recommend that you follow our instructions for malware removal help which can be found here - NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help

After running through the necessary steps, please post the requested logs in the HijackThis Log Help section of the forum (Not in here)

Please note that the Security Forum is always busy, so I would ask for your patience while waiting for a reply from a helper - it may take a couple of days.

Regards..

Re: Just wondering

I'm fine getting rid of them, but I was just wondering if I should as they are apart of programs I use frequently.

Are they actually dangerous or is it a mistake?

Re: Just wondering

Hi phenom -

You're not giving us enough info to go on...what are the file names/paths of what AVG has identified as threats?

AVG AS = AVG AntiSpyware? ....are the definitions current on that? Does the updater still work? I had thought it was obsolete and unsupported.
