SafeBoot N.V. issues
First time forum user.
My laptop PC apparantly got infected with a virus or malware called SafeBoot N.V. I already have Symantec Antivirus and do not recall installing SafeBoot. I was browsing the net and lost my wireless connectivity. I decided to reboot and this SafeBoot program was launched and is asking me for a user name and password and is not recognizing the one I already have in Windows XP/network. I tried restarting in safe mode but doesn't do anything, it goes back to Safeboot. The program description is SafeBoot Mobile Data Security version 5. Besides asking for user name and password, it gies the option to recover the machine or the user. But I have no idea what that means. As I said, I did not install this program. Does anyone has an idea of what this program is about and if there is a way around it, so I can restart in safe mode and clean it or delet it? Your help is greatly appreciated. |
