'resycled\boot.com'
OS Windows XP SP3
Anti Virus Symantec 9.01 updated on Nov 15 2008 For the past 3 days I have been unable to open my C: & D: drives and recieve the error message: "Windows cannot find 'resycled\boot.com'...." I have looked in various forums and see there is no one answer and also most of the answers require downloads of other programs which I am suspect of. I have used regedit to find and erase the key including the 'resycled' text, however this lasts only for the period of the session. When I logout & login again it has returned. What is causing this and how do I get rid of it? BTW Symantec has not identified a virus, trojan, malware of any sort after numerous scans. Thanx in advance for your time. YE |
