new aol pop up re: spyzapper

Starting 11/12/08 an aol pop up message on aol 9.1 showed up announcing spyzapper is no longer available (Yea)...if you open it it's a pitch for McAfee. How do you stop the aol pop up message and stop the McAfee back door (thru aol)solicitation stopped(which I do not have or want McAfee). Going to keyword spyzapper simply tells you its not available.

Re: new aol pop up re: spyzapper

sorry for my poor typing....the word "stopped" should not appear after the word solicitation, and the word "which" should not be appear in within the parentheses..perleyb

Re: new aol pop up re: spyzapper

Me too! It's happening to my parents PC and I followed the link to remove the software but the message still appears. I've searched the Internet too for help but it says to change settings that don't exist under security. Help!!

Did you ever find out how to eliminate this annoying pop-up?

Hello,

Does this help.

Other than that, you may wish to ask at the AOL message board, others are having the same problem.
