Question Craig's List "Click here" eBay Virus

My dad asked for help with this one...

Shopping around on Craig's list, in a profile a guy had a link that said "Click here to see additional photos." he clicked it, and it took him to a normal website, but now every time he goes shopping on eBay he is warned that he has a virus. has anyone ever heard of this? thanks.

Re: Craig's List "Click here" eBay Virus

It sounds like some kind of malware. The warnings he is receiving are probably false warnings that will try to get him to purchase a certain product to remove the alleged virus. Try running an online scan. (links below)
