My home PC has been completely under attack since my boyfriend 'accidentally' opened something he shouldn't have. I've used almost every spyware/virus remover software available and cleared most of the viruses and malware that were on it but something is still hijacking my browser and has taken over the operating system.
The most worrying thing is when I go into 'system details', it has the words VIRUS ALERT! and when the computer starts up it now says the copy of Windows is not genuine (which it was). It also said VIRUS ALERT! in the time bar at the bottom but I managed to remove that. One more thing, when I go into system restore - on every checkpoint VIRUS ALERT! Software distribution services 3.0 is listed every time!! ![]() There's also 2 adminstrator accounts - the one which I think is fake cannot be deleted..... Can anyone help?! |

Re: Somethings taken over!!
Please follow our 5 Step process outlined here:
http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...oval-help.html After running through all the steps, please post the requested logs in the HijackThis Log Help forum, not here. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the HijackThis Log Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply.
