[SOLVED] GDATA TotalCare 2008

Trying to install Gdata TotalCare 2008 for 3PC's which has been installed and is partially operating BUT I keep getting 'GDATA Internet Security GUI has stopped working' and I cannot use the Status screen to customise the operations.
I have used removed Norton antivirus, turned off the Firewall and used GDATA's removal tool and reinstalled the latest download on numerous occasions
I had originally GDATA Internet Security 2007 which was fully operational on the computer with a Vista upgrade from Windows XP Professional.
GDATA have not responded to my emails other than the initially recommend the above.
On a new PC the GDATA TotalCare 2008 was successfully installed first time.
Please can anyone help with this.

Re: GDATA TotalCare 2008

Hi, How did you remove Norton? Did you use the Norton Removal Tool?(link below)

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...&osv=&osv_lvl=

Norton is known to be hard to fully remove and it does cause problem when installing new security software.

Re: GDATA TotalCare 2008

Thank you for your response, unfortunately I have already tried the Norton Removal Tool which removed Norton.
The software works, it is just the graphic information screens (Graphic User Interface - GUI)that are the problem and will not function.
I again spoke to Gdata's telephone helpline who again will pass the information onto their technical team to respond they also recommended waiting for the 2009 version which will be out within the next month.

Re: GDATA TotalCare 2008

After all the problems, I have just received the Gdata TotalCare 2009 from the UK distributor 'infinitebusiness' and this update is working perfectly on a Novatech Computer.
I am pleased with the help I received from the UK distributor, who sent me the update link the day that they had received it, and it was worth the wait.
A fresh install on a new Acer computer went smoothly without these problems.
Based upon previous experiences with Gdata when compared with other Antivirus software I would recommend the latest 2009 Gdata antivirus software.
