Spybot search and destroy FX different problem?
After updating spybot to the 1.6.0 version and appling the latest updates I ran a scan and supposedly there is no spyware or other problems.
In previous scans under the old version there was always several to a dozen or more spymare finds. Is this a problem or is the function just changed somehow? |

Re: Spybot search and destroy FX different problem?
Spyware can be de-listed by the makers of the program. Example, if you use an old version of adaware it may pick-up adware that the new adaware wont.
The reason can vary. Firstly it may be that the older version mistakenly picked up on something that wasn't spyware. Secondly, in the case of ad-aware, a number of years ago they became involved with a company which produced adware. After that, ad-aware stoped picking up that particular adware.(I'm not saying Ad-aware is a bad prog. But I am saying that the developers can decide to de-list any adware or spyware they like for whatever reason they like and you/we will be the last to know about it.) I'm sure there are more reasons.
