Rookie at PC - URGENT help needed

HI all I am new to this forum and also very limited in my knowledge of PC's.

Yesterday I turned on my computer to find my background had gone blue with yellow lettering telling me I was infected with spyware and virus's and I was to remove them urgently.

I asked a freind for advice and he suggested I download AVG anti-virus free software and also the free version of super anti-spyware. I have done this and ran both programs removing anything they found. However now every ten to twenty second avg pops up telling me accessed file is unwanted :

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pphcvwoi0en5a.exe.

When I click move to vault the message goes away but reappears after 10-20 seconds.

Also I have noticed I now have something called AntiVirus XP2008 which I never downloaded and this keeps telling me I have various amounts of virus's etc....

Also when I go on the net windows security alert comes up saying Trojan - spy.win32.Greenscreen is in my computer and only option is to enable protection which subsequently puts me onto a website for anti virus programs.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated, thanks
