I was wondering how I remove the VIRUS ALERT! message from next to the clock in the taskbar ?

there is a lot of info that you are leaving out. what antivirus are you using? operating system? have you done any antivirus and antispyware scans? i think you're infected and i recommend you scan your computer. we need more info.
