Problems installing Trend Micro 2008 on XP
Please help! At completion of Trend Micro Internet Security Installation Wizard, pop up comes up "Setup Program Interrupted"...."An interruption prevented the setup program from completely installing Trend Micro Internet Security. The setup program has not changed your computer. When ready to finish installing the software, simply restart the setup program. Click Finish to close the installation wizard" Do not have any traces or software of Norton or McAfee...have checked and "cleaned" all. Did not find any help on Trend Micro site. Any suggestions? Any help will be much appreciated!

Re: Problems installing Trend Micro 2008 on XP
welcome to TSF
as i see it, you have two choices: 1. continue with trendmicro, who i like, but just don't believe they have that good a chance to give you satisfaction. 2. go with another company. i recommend kaspersky because they have a well organized network of personnel and tools to get you a functional installation. not to mention it's a great AV. if you are skilled at searching for, and removing files, and troubleshooting, then installing trendmicro may still be a viable option. i believe that trendmicro is a reputable company who i have recommended in the past. i'm surprised they are not being more helpful. i think you may either have leftovers from another antivirus, and that's why i recommend kaspersky. they will take care of that problem for you. |
