Counterspy question
I just installed the latest version of Counterspy (Version: 2.5.1043), and so far it seems pretty good. However, it is now set up to automatically scan my computer every time I start my computer, before getting to the XP login screen, which is annoying because the scan takes awhile. I didn't see an option to turn this off from the program. I even went into msconfig and disabled an entry from the list of startup programs that I "thought" was responsible for this ("rebootscan" or something along that line), but still didn't work.
Does anyone know how to turn the scan off? |

Re: Counterspy question
those guys over at sunbelt know their stuff. i can't imagine in the competitive world of antispywares, that they would conceal such an important option, or not have one at all.
i have to ask this, just to be positive, but did you click apply>ok when you unchecked the box in the startup list? is there a running service in the system config that may need to be unchecked as well? |
