Kaspersky tricked me?
I did a free online scan with Kaspersky and it said I had a virus. (pic attached below)
I downloaded the trial version which should work like the full retail for a month and did a scan and nothing came up. I went to the file and still noticed the supposed "worm" being there. Did it over look it or what and how can I remove it? |

Re: Kaspersky tricked me?
Don't ask why, but sometimes the definitions between the online scanners and the onboard AV are not quite the same. Did you update the trial version's definitions before performing a scan?
The C drive find is in temp internet files. Looks to be a shockwave file. Probably flagged due to potential. start > run > cleanmgr should take care of it. The D drive, is that your onboard recovery partition? You can probably ignore that find. It's likely part of some OEM application. If you need more specific advice on removing any malware...please see these steps: http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...oval-help.html Please do NOT post any logs here. Thanks. We don't analyze logs in this section of the forum.
