Question AVG Internet Security Firewall Configuration

Please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong area, being that this is my first post on techsupportforum.com.

Ok, here is my small problem. I recently (as of yesterday) upgraded my AVG 8.0 anti-virus to the internet security suite. Reason being that, I wanted a single interface for all my security needs instead of running AVG AV and Zonealarm Pro. However, after installation and setup, I could no longer share/connect to my laptop and vice versa. The firewall configuration wizard is complex and I consider myself an intermediate software, hardware, and networking user. I had to manually put in the ip address for my laptop to get the sharing connection back. But on my desktop, when I open 'My Network Places' none of my shared folders are shown.

All I want is for the AVG firewall to give my gateway firewall the backup protection that it needs, being that I am an avid P2P user, I use online bill pay methods and I surf the web like everybody else. I tried to contact Grisoft, but could not find the US telephone number. If anyone here is knowledgeable of AVG internet security suite, especially the Firewall interface , please respond. Super Thanks in advance.

Re: AVG Internet Security Firewall Configuration

When you open AVG click on resident shield. At the bottom you should see "Manage exceptions" I think this is what your looking for. I'm not sure how to configure it but you might figure it out.

Hope it helps
