Can people use your pc to store items though the internet ?

i really need to know how easy or how commen it is when people use the internet to hack into some one else hard drive and memory to store videos or pictures and so on ?

this has happened to me , but i need to know if it is commen , or even how it happened ?

some one im guessing though the internet has stored alot of pictures and some videos on my hard drive that has got me into some trouble . my hard drive was allways connected to my lappy and my lappy was always connected to the internet.

please if you have any idea's or information about this please let me know asap !

I can't think of any reason why a hacker would want to store his personal files on someone else's machine on the internet.

My guess is that you've been infected with some sort of trojan and been compromised by automated attacks, or have gotten spyware that has downloaded things automatically to your computer.

they used my pc becouse it was illigle stuff !

Also doesn't really make much sense... they're putting stuff that could incriminate them on your computer, where you could easily keep a log file that would include their IP address? Doesn't seem likely to me.

Now that you know your machine is compromised though, you should wipe it clean and start over. Or, if you really don't want to format and reinstall, you could just go through and spend a few hours cleaning off the viruses and spyware and whatnot that got on there somehow.

just a few more things . . . the files and videos and pictures had no dates with them , there was no way of telling where they come from ? how dose that happen ??

You mean checking when whatever files came on your machine were made? Probably not, since they will probably show up with a date of creation as the day when they were put on your machine.

na , there was no dates at all no matter where u looked , nor could u find where they come from , looked for days !

how dose that happen ??

Definitely spyware or some sort of trojan horse.
