Re: need help with a hack

Hi

Although your scan says there is no virus, not all viruses will be detected.

Please start here and follow the instructions.

http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...sting-log.html

If you cannot complete any of the Steps, simply move on to the next one - remember to let the Analyst know about this when you post your logs.

Do not post your logs back in this thread - follow the guidance in the above link!

Please note that the Security Forum is always busy, so I would ask for your patience while waiting for a reply.

Re: need help with a hack

No - a lack of power will not remove any malware. Glad to hear you seem to be sorted though.

Re: need help with a hack

1. Sometimes a lack of power can corrupt malware files, but HIGHLY unlikely.
2. Some viruses destroy themselves after a certain number of reboots, when a hacker makes a virus he may want a fail-safe if it attacks his computer.
3. He probably was getting in through a rat, this file may have been corrupted (good for you)
4. A white hat hacker may have been notified of this hacker and perhaps repaired what he/she could of attacked computers.

Other than these things, he/she may have been found by the government.

i tried ad aware 2008 ,it removed 2 files from registery and the message still appears

There will likely be more that just one spyware/malware, Not to worry.
Take Glaswegian's advice from second post.
