AVG is updating, but not updating...

Hello,

Ever since I installed AVG Free v8.0, it has said that the last update was done on May 29th, even though I've performed (seemingly) successful updates every day since then. So I don't really know if it's actually updating the virus definitions or not. Should I be concerned about this or is it just some bug that causes the statistics to not show the updates even though it is updated? Also, each time I log on to Windows, I get an error that the AVG update manager is not running but it starts as soon as I run a manual update.
