Anti spyware software

I'm searching for anti spyware software,From my experience spybot search & destroy and ad aware seem to be by far the most popular,But i've just read an article saying how they are now both well and truely out dated,Is this true?It goes on to recommend some software of which spyware terminator comes out just on top,Is this also true?Or is the best software to counter spyware something completely differant?Cheers for any help.

There is no "best" antispyware programme per se, some do a better job than others, that is true. SpywareTerminator was once on the rogue antispyware list and you`ll not find many security analysts recommending that programme.

Be wary of any articles you may see on the internet recommending one product over the rest, some companies pay to have a good review of their product, as for the two programms you mention, there is nothing wrong with Spybot and Ad-Adware.
