However, I went ahead and then downloaded the add on pack.
Once installed I could not access my ISP, the normal tab said "Bad Command
Nor could I access any web site - something like command 501 not implemented
the weather gadget on the desktop was "not connected"
I searched to find a way of modifying the add on pack privacy, parental and antispam controls but to be honest got fed up trying to work it all out.
I have just uninstalled the add on pack and have regained control of the pc.

My question is can the add on pack be installed and set up to allow the same level of access to the net as I get without the add on pack installed -
all I want is better antispam control on the email.

I too would like to get an answer to this as I have just spent 6 hours identifying this as an issue. That includes 2 hours on the phone to Symantec at the end of which they said it must be my ISP. I am now going to fill in their service questionairre with the appropriate opinion !

Re: Norton 360 Add on pack

I can't even get the 360 add-on pack to install. Needless to say I am an extremely unhappy camper.

Symantec makes a good product but its userfriendly rank is right down there with OLD disasters like dBase3 and Lotus 123. Whoever does your install coding needs to seek work in a different industry. I've been a PC user for about 25 years and have problems ONLY with Symantec products.

Re: Norton 360 Add on pack

Symantc advised me that they would go away and look at the problems with the add on pack. I have phoned to get an update a couple of times since my original issue was logged - each time they didnt know what I was talking about and I had to remind them. I dont hold out much hope of the add on pack being available problem free any time soon. Its a shame as, with two children of certain age, a decent control facility would be pretty handy !

Re: Norton 360 Add on pack

This is a technical support forum. Does anyone from tech support ever reply, ever post here? There is a serious problem with the Norton 360 add-on program yet we see nothing from Symantec.

Re: Norton 360 Add on pack

Looker1010, this forum is not run by or affiliated with Symantec in any way. Most people avoid Symantec/Norton products for the very reason you've discovered. Poor quality products and service.

Looker1010 -

In addition to what koala has stated.....have a look here for a dedicated Norton forum.
