restore console XP media center w/combo fix
simple question. i think im going to have to run ComboFix but i dont have the windows cd, so to set up restore console i need to download from microsoft--
herein lies my problem, im running XP media center edition and the only downloadable SP2 files i can find are for XP home or professional. would media center and home be the same file? or is there a seperate file for media center? |

If you're planning to run combofix without a helper's supervision, please abandon the idea. Combofix is a powerful tool that should only be used by helpers.

To reiterate what Angelfire777 has said, ComboFix should only be used under the guidance of trained persons. Doing otherwise is not recommended, and can prove harmful to one's machine.
XP Media Center is built upon XP Pro. One reason we ask for logs from Deckard's System Scanner in the HijackThis Log Help forum is it enumerates that more accurately than HijackThis does. It also provides much more detail than does HijackThis. Since you're receiving help in the HJT forum, we'll now close this thread.
