well, my title says it all.
Avg says I am clean, so does SuperAntispyware, and Ad-aware, I was just curious about those 2. |

Re: AVG says I have these startups running: NvCplDaemon, AppInit_DLLs are they bad?
NvCplDaemon - is a module related to Nvidia graphics cards.
I'm getting mixed feedback about AppInit_DLLs though, so I'll let someone who knows more then me clear that one up

AppInit_DLLs
Depends on what's loading there....some legit applications such as Google Desktop or Web Accelerator use that loading point. Some malware uses that loading point.

ok thanks.
My computer seems to be running great now. I have run ATF Cleaner, AVG, Ad-Adare, and SuperAntispyware, they all say that I have 0 infections. My only concern is that when I run a Kaspersky scan, it comes up with a ton of viruses. I dont know anything about Kaspersky, but I believe it is finding the viruses that have already been quarantined by the other programs. Can anybody help me with this please? I can post the Kaspersky scans or a hijackthis log. thx |

Kaspersky will show any infections held in quarantine as well as numerous legit files - these will show as 'locked'. Did the Kas log header mention how many infected objects were found?

You can always attach it - saves clogging up the thread. We don't normally complete any log analysis in this forum, so if you are infected, I'll provide links to our HJT forum.
