Virus protection on a dell?(transfer from hardware)
I'm trying to decide what virus protection to use on my laptop, right now i use AVG free edition on my desktop, I used to pay like 100 bucks for spy sweeper and Norton, but neither program I found reliable, they were always over looking viruses and trojans, etc. I'm trying to decide what to put on this laptop I'm getting.
I like AVG because: -First off its free -It has both virus and spyware protection -You can configure it so you never have to open it -It runs in the background so it doesnt give you annoying messages like norton. Before i put anything on this pc i want virus protection first. Im leaning toward AVG for the above reasons. If any one has any suggestions I'd love to hear them. I want to set this pc up right. |

AVG is a fine choice for freeware. You'll likely get as many opinions as there are respondents.
