Does CA Anti-Spy Work?

I recently installed the free Yahoo CA Anti-Spy and suspect that it is either not running correctly or isn't a very good program. It only takes about 3-4 seconds to "scan" my computer. The old Yahoo Anti-Spy would at least take a couple of minutes and AdAware can take round 20 minutes.

Any information on CA anti-spy will be appreciated. Thanks, Mack

Hi and welcome to TSF.

3-4 minutes is definitely not long enough for a scan. CA is legit, although I've never used it. I would suggest you uninstall then try a re-install - may just have been an installation problem.

yes it works/ quick/ but produces same result xsoft
what it does not appear to do is check the registry ? for spy items/ which xsoft does
