Running two AVs simultaneously
Hi everyone,
I'm currently running Avast! free edition as my resident AV programme. However, I've downloaded AVG to use as a second opinion when scanning, but realise that I shouldn't have both running at the same time, in case a conflict occurs. However, I'm not sure how to stop AVG running like this. Do I just turn off the resident shild but leave the programme running? Or do I have to quit the entire programme? Any help on what to do to make sure my AVG is set up correctly would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

Matt
I have to agree with Bronson7. I know you are aware that running two live AVs can cause problems, so why put yourself through that? One AV is fine, and, as Bronson7 suggest, a few online scans will help your overall protection. Also have a look here for additional suggestions PC Safety and Security--What Do I Need?
