Privacy Protector, Error Cleaner and Spyware&Malware protection

Hello:

These programs embedded itself into my system. It changes my desktop and keeps poping up with warnings and websites. It is called Privacy Protector, Error Cleaner and Spyware&Malware protection. I have tried to fix this but have had no luck. I have ran several spyware utilities but no help. Will I end up reformatting my machine? A message (spyware alert)keeps popping up that my security is in threat and emails may be send to groups etc. Also, safemode is didabled and taskmanager is disabled.

Please help.

Re: Privacy Protector, Error Cleaner and Spyware&Malware protection

Things are so much screwed up that it does not allow me to run panda live scan and get the results. The machine is so slow and it just hangs after some time. Unfortunately, I am not able to do the steps suggested. I did check the program list and remove all malware utilities in the list shared

Just go on with the steps and post what you can. The DSS scan is the most important one. If you can't get it to run, post back here for further instructions.

Re: Privacy Protector, Error Cleaner and Spyware&Malware protection

I have copied all documents to my F drive and I am ok to reformat c:.
will my data in F drive be safe if I reformat and reinstall windows? also, will the problem go away if I reformat? I am inclined to clean up as my machine is old and it is time for a reformat.
