Hi

Best is likely to come down to personal opinion.

Well, I use everything listed in my sig below - that plus some commonsense, and I've never been infected.

I also use a router for an additional layer of protection.

why not just stick with nod32? it's a great programme. maybe add a few on demand scanners to be safer.

Re: whats the best anti virus and firewall out there and a few other questions

i do a lot of surfing at IT sites and overall the best AV's are kaspersky, bitdefender and nod32.
for antispyware i would say spy sweeper is the best, but it conflicts often. i was unable to use it real-time, because it didn't get along with my kaspersky AV. it's a great on-demand scanner (especially in safe mode) and it has always been able to remove anything that it detected on my computer.
for firewall, i have only used two in the two years i have been on the net, zone alarm free, and kerio 2.1.5. i was able to understand the zone alarm better, but the kerio fw is lighter. i have also heard a lot of good things about comodo. i would go with zone alarm first, as there's plenty of people that can help you with the uninstall/removal.
