Re: strange occurance

If you're using Sun Java....

Go into the Control Panel and double-click the Java Icon. (looks like a coffee cup)
  • On the General tab, under Temporary Internet Files, click the Settings button.
  • Next, click on the Delete Files button
  • There are two options in the window to clear the cache - Leave BOTH Checked
    • Applications and Applets
      Trace and Log Files
  • Click OK on Delete Temporary Files Window
Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.
  • Click OK to leave the Temporary Files Window
  • Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.

Re: strange occurance

Is it the same file name being found by AVG?

If possible, can you upload the file being identified here:

Re: strange occurance

it is always in the opera cache a different entry for each thread i click on
if you bring anything up from the cache it is clear
the box only comes up when clicking on a thread in the forum
i have tried 3 earlier versions of opera with the same results
when the box comes up and you send it to the vault, when you check the vault there is nothing in there
and the ref. no. for the items are also not listed in the cache,i cannot find anything to upload
A2
spybot
hijack
avgpro
all come up clean
in ie there are no problems with which makes me think it is opera and the new setup is clashing somewhere
but others are using opera and i have not seen any posts from them regarding the problem
also when i access a thread from an email notification there is no popup box
it only occurs when going into a thread from within the forum
another strange thing is when i went to the thread on the forum to add to this post
all todays posts were missing,i got back to the full thread by going in via the email link and everything showed up
i rebuilt the computer last week a complete clean installation

Re: strange occurance

Have you tried Firefox, just to see if the same thing happens? If not, then it must be down to Opera in some way.
