i'm having trouble adding my new anti virus program to the virus protection in the security center. it shows an old program that is no longer on my system. the green "on" light is on and and i can't get it to go off to add my "recommendation". what do i do? remember just because i've been a data entry operator for 30 years, when it comes to making changes i'm a novice and need instructions in a step by step. as the saying does i know just enough to be dangerous. LOL thanks you for your time!!

Re: security center - virus protection
Go their website and see if they have a complete removal tool. I know that Norton and McAfee have removal tools, so your old AV maker may also have a removal or cleanup utility.
